Silva Prints

Printmaking

My name is Lizi and I am a linocut printmaker based in Morden. The latin “Silva” means forest and my art brings a touch of the botanical, wild and mystical into the modern home using the traditional yet timeless technique of lino printmaking. My inspiration is found during walks in ancient woodlands, in colourful cottage gardens, Britain’s native flora & fauna, foraging and the cycles and rhythms of nature. Each design is painstakingly carved into lino in order to create a truly unique effect and every piece sold is an original, hand-pulled print. I sell a combination of limited edition and open edition prints, and both larger and smaller works, with prices ranging from £14 to £100+. Sustainability is at the core of how I work and I use only recycled and compostable packaging (no single-use plastic), I do not use harsh chemicals and solvents for cleaning, my studio runs on renewable energy sources, and I am always looking for ways in which I can make my processes more sustainable.
