Jo Sharpe is a multi disciplinary artist inspired by seasonal colours, patterns in nature and the natural world she sees on her walks.
She mostly paints in oils but also loves to combine medias, creating rich textures.
Her paintings evolve through simplifying the colours, shapes and composition over time so details get painted over and the painting becomes about a composition of carefully balanced colours, tones and shapes. The paintings can have multiple layers of paint which Jo often scratches through to create patterns and textures.
