Inspired by organic forms, shifting light and the ephemeral qualities of wild flowers and foliage, Ruth Bowey employs soft, atmospheric layers of pigment to create dreamlike compositions. Her process allows the paint and plants to guide the work. She seeks to capture quiet, meditative moments in nature, inviting viewers to pause and reflect.
Ruth has lived in SW London for many years and draws much of her inspiration from local wild spaces and gardens. Her work has been exhibited at Orleans House Stables Gallery, the Gallery at Green and Stone and the Oxo Gallery.
