Keir Garden and Tennis Court Garden, Cannizaro Park

We are delighted to be partnering with a host of experienced teachers and art educators to bring our Creative Zone to Cannizaro Park. There are plenty of activities to choose from so if one activity is busy you can move on something else!

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and cannot be left unsupervised at any workshop activities.

  • Clay leaf bowls

    Come and make your own clay bowl with a leaf imprint with Annabel Johnson from Hags Pottery. Design and fashion your bowl at the park. Annabel will take your creation away and glaze and fire it for collection at a later date.

    Sessions from 11am-4pm

  • Art Hub

    The Art hub will be a drop-in activity zone with opportunities to colour, paint, draw and print. Aimed at children 3 years upwards and led by art teachers, Ray and Aimee. Please note, adults must accompany their children at all Art in the Park activities.

  • Planet Art Kite-making Workshop

    Join Planet Art for a fun session making kites from repurposed and recycled materials.

    Planet Art is all about teaching children to reuse, recycle and reimagine. Through fun, seasonal arts and crafts, children learn to think creatively while developing eco-friendly habits that last a lifetime.

  • Acrylic Painting with Dried Petals

    Artist Cordelia Chang will show you how to create texture with dried petals and paints and make a unique and personal piece in memory of the season.

    Two sessions: 12pm and 1pm

  • Sculpture Workshop

    Tim Norris is one of Cannizaro Park’s resident artists and is a renowned sculptor of large-scale outdoor pieces made from locally gathered natural materials. At this workshop you can learn how to weave materials together to form a large sculpture inspired by nature. No experience required and all tools provided.

  • Flower-making Workshop

    Join art educators and artists Orla and Kate to make flowers with paper-based materials and hand-drawn decoration. Take your creations away with you as a keepsake of your day in Cannizaro Park.

  • Giant group drawing

    Come and make your own drawing tools and then work with others to make the biggest drawing ever made in Cannizaro Park!

    This workshop is led by artists Elizabeth and Josie. All ages welcome; children must be accompanied by an adult.
